Premature birth rates have continued to climb to over 12% of the total births in the United States alone and steadily growing every year. This translates into a market that consumers have been requesting to be filled yet, no other manufacturer has produced such an exclusive line of clothing that meets the needs of this specific market.   No matter if your preemie is just small or has medical needs we have a garment just for him!

ANNA'S did a great deal of research before we embarked upon designing and manufacturing our line. With tape measures in hand, our specialists measured foot lengths, neck circumferences, little heads, arm lengths, body lengths, etc... Then we conferred with the experts - NICU's. Our patent pending garments are made with the front panel opening  so there is plenty of room for a heart monitor belt yet not too big for when your baby does not need the monitor anymore.

Clothing labeled Preemie by manufacturers is actually five inches too long from wrist to wrist and six inches too large in girth according to the average body measurements of the typical premature infant. Consumers requiring clothing for our smallest infants were still rolling and tucking the garments to properly fit. Some low weight baby’s are too tiny and frail to come home right away. Infants born within the 3-6 pound weight range may require heart monitors, g-tubes, apnea monitors, or a host of medical devices intended to sustain life. So we also developed our patent pending NICU line that has a front panel opening that allows adjustments to medical devices without removing the baby’s’ clothing. Medical personnel and parents have had to weave these tubes and leads through the legs of the infants’ garments or leave tubing draped over the infant. The infants pull at these life saving devices and dislodge them, which can be the cause of serious complications.

We added soft Velcro tabs, located on the outside of the garments to contain all tubes and leads them away from little hands. To enhance the comfort to infants, all bulk is located on the front of the garments and away from the baby. In addition, the front bulk is a gentle reminder not to place babies on their stomachs; this relates to preventing Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Although this line of clothing may appear to be specifically for the infant in a NICU environment, many infants still require medical devices upon going home. These garments provide the versatility parents have been asking for.

Notice how the garment opens completely so you can get to all the leads and how the wires are contained down the side! All garments are color coordinated to match perfectly. Bibs Velcro to each garment so dangerous strings are not tied around the infants’ necks. Each garment utilizes Velcro for closure, as snaps and zippers are harmful to the delicate preemies’ skin. All labels are located on the outside of the garments to prevent chaffing of their rice paper thin skin. Furthermore, all garments open completely, allowing access to the infants without having to undress them. Each fabric is individually designed and manufactured utilizing 100% Peruvian combed cotton so the garments are as soft as possible against baby's skin.
